Totally Tribal Trend

Two words: jungle fever. There is something about summer that allows even the most hesitant fashionistas to dare to walk on the wild side of their wardrobes. This summer, it’s all about the tribal trend. This animal and ethnic-inspired fad features bold patterns, wild Native American-esk prints, chunky bangles and a pop of color. Our very own Shop The Far Out is embracing this tribal chic trend with this “Aztec” Skirt (Torn by Ronny Kobo), “Tribal” Maxi Dress (Funktional) and “Waisted” Tank Dress (Twellth Street by Cynthia Vincet).

But this funky fad is not just about the clothing. What says animal-inspired better than real rooster feathers…in your hair? I know you’ve seen them; from Ke$ha, to Selena Gomez, to Steven Tyler (?!), to sorority girls alike, hair feathers are just about everywhere. While news reporters may point out environmental concerns and your dad may complain that it’s depleting his fishing lure supply, the hair feather trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

So if you’re looking to channel your inner warrior princess this summer, throw on a fringed, tribal Tee and a flowy maxi skirt, clasp in some colorful hair feathers, grab a fedora and some gold bangles, and TA-DA tribal hipster perfection.
